Lord of the Rings: Conquest

Many people don't like The Lord of the Rings. People don't like it because it is too fantasy and things like that. Well if that's you, this game may make you change your mind.

Lord of the Rings: Conquest is really fun. You play all the missions in the film trilogy. In this game, you can play as Good as well as Evil, where in the Good campaign you play as the Men of Rohan and Gondor, where you need to stop the Orcs and Uruk-Hai (Uruk-Hais are elves which became Evil and don't fear death) and need to go all the way to Mount Doom to destroy the "One Ring" which is causing the Evil. In the Evil campaign you have to play as the Uruk-Hai, the Orcs or Goblins or as Sauron (a mighty warrior who wants to purge the lands of men and claim it for himself) and Sauron needs to prevent the "One-Ring" being destroyed. Purble Place is Intense Matching and Cakes

By nation Fish February 3, 2012 Comments (1)

Some of you people reading this who have been living under rocks your whole lives may be wondering right now: What is Purble Place? The answer is one of the most revolutionary games known to man, appealing to people of all ages. With a collection of three game modes and many settings, it undoubtedly has more appeal than anything you have played before.

Purble Pairs

The first game setting is a common one throughout games: A matching game. The objective of this game mode is simple: Flip over two cards per turn, get the cards to match, and find all the matching pairs in the fewest turns possible. Players can use something called a "sneak peek" bonus which flips all of the cards on the screen for a few moments, though it counts as a whole turn. Not only is this game mode fun and exciting, but you won't have your parents yelling about it because it helps prevent memory loss! [Editor's note: Some studies suggest that mental stimulation, perhaps as in certain memory games, may help maintain cognitive function in old age by improving neural connections.] Who can say no to that?! The different difficulties in this mode are drastically different, being beginner with one 5x5 grid, intermediate with two 6x6 grids, and expert with four 8x8 grids. You think this sounds easy? Try doing expert once without using "sneak peek" and you will understand just how difficult the learning curve of this fast-paced action-packed extreme matching game is. Continue reading...

For those who played one of the best selling games in history, Final Fantasy VII, this movie will bring back many memories of playing the game, and may make some people (myself included) play the game in order to grasp what is happening in the story. I was pleasantly surprised the first time I saw this movie to realize it was completely CGI, so that Square Enix could make their characters appear the way they wanted to make them appear.

History and Evolution of Mario

By nation Fish November 10, 2011 Comments (2)

Even today when intense, realistic first-person shooters like Call of Duty seem to be at the forefront of gaming, Mario is still going strong. With new Mario games and spin-offs still coming out each year and several upcoming 3DS games charted for 2012, the good ol'fashioned model for a save-the-princess platform game seems to be immortal.

The story of Mario, one of the most iconic characters of all time, began in 1981. Nintendo was a struggling company, having recently failed to capture the market in an attempt at expanding into North America and falling far below expectations. Shigeru Miyamoto, a game designer working for Nintendo, was asked to create a new game that would be more modern and appealing, with the hope of gaining stronger footing in North America.
